Darkly funny ‘Property Values’ finds the humour in Canada’s very real housing crisis

The last time we caught up with comedian Charlie Demers, he had a brand new comedy album, a JUNO nomination, and a rip in his pants. Now he’s back, this time as a newly minted author.

Property Values is his brand new novel, one that combines urban gentrification, sky-high real estate prices and gang violence—and it’s funny.

In the clip above, Charlie tells Lindsey more about the book and the differences between writing a novel and writing stand-up.

Oh, and this time around, his pants are fine.
