Ethan LaCroix was born with a rare eye disease called Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis, and is three-quarters blind.
With the help of electronic glasses, LaCroix was able to do what seemed to be unthinkable: he was able to see.
The wearable medical device mimics how a sighted person sees for those with low vision or the legally blind. The glasses have a high definition camera installed that captures what the user is looking at and displays it in on the screen in front of them.
