What do you do when the prime suspect is one of your own?
The Metro Police Department on “Motive” is about to find out when prosecutor Samantha Turner ends up dead and all the evidence points to the team’s commander, Sgt. Mark Cross, who was also in a relationship with her.
“Where were you last night? I have to ask you now,” Angie says to Cross, in a preview for the season finale, airing Thursday, May 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.

Refusing to believe her old partner could be a murderer, Angie goes to bat for Cross but not everyone agrees with her.
“I can’t support you on this,” says Vega in the preview.
Their old boss Staff Sgt. Boyd Bloom, who is now the supervising officer, is also shown telling Cross he may have to suspend him.
An old case from Angie and Cross’ past also resurfaces, which may force them to reveal the secret they’ve been hiding all season.

“I think it’s time to tell the truth,” says Cross.

“You find out very clearly in the finale (what happened) and I think our finale is one of our strongest episodes.
“This ‘secret’ really has to do with our past and poor choices.”
