When “Motive” returns for Season 3 March 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV Go, Det. Angie Flynn (Kristin Lehman) re-joins the Homicide team after a self-imposed absence but quickly finds out everything has changed.
In the six months since she left, Det. Brian Lucas (Brendan Penny) has begun giving orders and is now the primary on key cases, while Det. Oscar Vega (Louis Ferreira) has been trying to fill in the gaps Angie left, all while getting along with Sgt. Mark Cross (Warren Christie). But Vega will have some battles ahead as he will face a crisis that not only threatens his career, but his personal life as well.
Dr. Betty Rogers (Lauren Holly) will also show a new side of herself when she comes up against a dangerous and threatening adversary.
In the season three premiere titled “Six Months Later,” Angie is lured back to the team to help investigate a case involving Vega's father and the death of a beautiful young socialite. A recovering addict, the victim’s past points to a potential overdose as a cause of death. But as details emerge, it becomes clear her death was no accident. Victor Garber, Jessica Lowndes, Tony Plana and Luisa D’Oliveira guest star.
Other guest stars set to appear this season include Dylan Walsh, Alexis Bledel, Chris Klein, C. Thomas Howell, Ally Sheedy, Billy Boyd and Charles Martin Smith.
