After 30 years and 10 seasons, the Conners continue to have a special place in the hearts and homes of viewers—and they're not going anywhere. CTV has acquired the new spin-off to this year's hit revival, Roseanne, for broadcast this fall. Anchoring CTV’s new Tuesday lineup, The Conners airs at 8 p.m. ET/ 9 p.m. MT, followed by The Kids Are Alright at 8:30 p.m. ET/ 9:30 p.m. MT, beginning Tuesday, October 16.
Details are scarce, but here's what we know so far about the upcoming show:
After a sudden turn of events, the Conners are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before. The iconic family—Dan (John Goodman), Jackie (Laurie Metcalf), Darlene (Sara Gilbert), Becky (Lecy Gorason), and D.J. (Michael Fishman)—grapple with parenthood, dating, an unexpected pregnancy, financial pressures, aging, and in-laws in working-class America. Through it all, the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, and the breakdowns, the love of a family prevails with humour and perseverance.
That's all we've got for now, but you can be sure we'll have loads more to share leading up to the October 16 premiere.
