Closures for Honda Indy expected to cause traffic delays

A stretch of Lake Shore Boulevard is being closed for the next few days for the return of Toronto's infamous motorsports event, albeit with a new name.
The Honda Indy takes place on the streets of Toronto this weekend, prompting several road closures around Exhibition Place.
While the big race is on Sunday, the practice and qualifying rounds begin Friday morning.
But for one driver, they already lost a race - to the Gardiner Expressway gate.
Whoever was behind a Porsche tried to avoid the Lake Shore Boulevard traffic jam and hop on the highway at the last minute, but was stopped in his tracks as the 7 a.m. on-ramp closure came into effect.
But despite the power available under the metal of this car, the driver didn't make it.
