SYTYCDC winner Tara-Jean given key to her hometown

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Tara-Jean Popowich, the winner of "So You Think You Can Dance Canada," has received the key to her hometown.
Robert Tarleck, the mayor of Lethbridge, Alta., also presented Popowich with a piece of Ammolite, the city's official gemstone.
Last week, the contemporary dancer nabbed the $100,000 top prize on the CTV dance contest.
She has said she'll use the cash to pay off the rest of her mother's mortgage and help pay for her brother's education.
Popowich will be hitting the road with her fellow Top 10 dancers on a cross-Canada tour that starts Nov. 25 in Kelowna, B.C.

I applaud the budget, even though Health Care and education may stay unscathed. Sadly this cannot last and I worry to later this year where cuts will become enviable. If anything, this provides the Wildrose Alliance plenty of ammo when an election is called.
