DNA tests have proven conclusively that Keanu Reeves is not the father of a Barrie, Ont. woman's four children, according to a lawyer for the actor.

Last May, Karen Sala filed a claim that Reeves, the star of such Hollywood hits as "The Matrix," had fathered her four children -- all of them now adults.

She sought $150,000 in child support retroactive to June 1988. Court documents also show that Sala wanted $3 million a month in spousal support retroactive to November 2006.

Reeves had DNA tests last month to prove the woman's claims were false, and has said he doesn't even know Sala.

It would be interesting to know the whole story. Has Mr. Reeves even met this woman? Does this woman actually believe that he was the father of her children? Was this a shakedown or a mental health issue?

Well, I'd say she got her 15 minutes of fame, at someone else's expense. I wonder who's paying her lawyer? Sad really.

As a mother of 3 myself I find it absolutely disgusting that she would "wait" until said children are grown until she asks for support...Is it fair to the kids? Was any of that money going to them? If he had turned out to be the father, he should have been told from birth. Look at all the yrs he would missed getting to know his kids...clearly this woman is delusional and needs to be locked up....How embarassing for her kids...I feel for them.

The reason she waited until her children were grown is that the father of the four children was in the picture until 2006. When he left her she decided that Keanu was the father of her children or at least one. She probably hoped he would pay her something to make this go away. Now if I were Keanu I would sue her for defamation of character.

This sure sounds like an attempted shake down. This may have grown out of a long ago one night stand before he became famous. Celebrities are victimized all the time by those who seek to extort. All that's needed is an ambulance chasing lawyer who rolls the dice on payment to take your case. In this case it backfired on the plaintiff and lawyer and they get zip.

The loony has now disputed the DNA evidence and is still going ahead with the money demands... Can't wait for her to make a public plee to pay her legal costs...

She is her own attorney. Costs her nothing to keep going until the judge throws the case out of court. But hey this keeps her name in the public and she probably hopes that he will eventually make a settlement on her just to get her to go away. What he should do is simply stop responding. He is in the states and she can't legally force him to respond from Canada. She would have to go to L.A. and try and file down there because that is now his place of residence. Much more expense that way for her, and they may actually demand proof that his is the father. But Maury is always looking for guests so she could appear on his show.

I hope he sues her for defamation of character and that she ends up paying him for the rest of her days. Frankly, a judge should have ordered HER to prove that her ex-husband or any of her other admitted lovers wasn't the father of these children before Mr. Reeves submitted to DNA testing.

It's a sad reality, in our society, that anyone can sue, whether there is a legitimate claim or not, and completely disrupt the life of another person. If this woman is actually going to try to dispute the DNA testing then she may need some psychiatric help. What she doesn't need is a lawyer who may only be seeing big bucks in legal fees from a celebrity. I feel sad for her children and Mr Reeves.

$1.5k! I thought child support was food, shelter, etc and not wealth re-distribution program so the government can claim woman have almost equal income as men in the country. Oh, wait, it *is* the later.

What an embarrassment to her family. She sure needs a lot of Psychiatric help. I guess since her former live in left her she has to try and manipulate someone. The question is why she waited so long. Rather a fishy story.

Can you imagine what this guy was thinking the whole time? Cruel and unusual punishment! Poor guy, poor kids....a Keanu look alike is running around impregnating women. Should be on the top 10 Americas most wanted.
