VANCOUVER Metro Vancouver gang violence and crime must stop.
That was the message Wednesday as dozens of concerned residents packed a Vancouver community service agency for a town hall meeting.
The meeting was called by Vancouver South MP Ujjal Dosanjh, who stressed the importance of hearing policy suggestions and input from the worried public.
More than three dozen shootings across Metro Vancouver since mid-January have left 16 people dead.
South Vancouver has been no stranger to the gun play.
Two brothers were gunned down inside an apartment last week, and another male was shot and killed last month during an altercation at a home.

I applaud the budget, even though Health Care and education may stay unscathed. Sadly this cannot last and I worry to later this year where cuts will become enviable. If anything, this provides the Wildrose Alliance plenty of ammo when an election is called.
