Voted off Top 14

Born in Kamloops, B.C., Caroline Torti started dancing at the age of three, training in jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet, modern, lyrical, arobatics and hip-hop, Caroline admits her favourite style of dance is contemporary.

Caroline considers making it into the So You Think You Can Dance Canada Top 20 as her biggest accomplishment, even though it meant saying goodbye to friends along the way. "Watching my friends and other brilliantly talented dancers leave the competition makes you realize how focused you have to be."

Caroline has the support of family and friends, and holds her parents as an inspiration to her. "I cannot express how supportive and inspirational they are to me for their strength, courage and love in so many ways!"

In her own career, Caroline would like to follow in the dancing steps of Wade Robson, currently choreographing on the U.S. version So You Think You Can Dance. "He had great success at such a young age, then took some time off to truly find himself and come back bigger and better than ever," she says.

Speaking of bigger and better, Caroline would love to one day meet musical icon Tina Turner. "She is known for her killer legs - that's what people say to me as well - and I would love do a duet with her on 'Rollin' on the River!'"

But Caroline knows it will take more than killer legs to win the competition. When asked what it will take to become Canada's favourite dancer, Caroline says it's all about, "heart, soul, perseverance, and allowing myself to shine more than I ever have before!"
