Seventy-five passengers aboard an international Air Canada flight were detained Tuesday night in Toronto, after travellers fell ill while flying.
Air Canada flight 085 arrived at the city's Pearson International Airport from Tel Aviv, carrying 201 passengers.
Eight people between the ages of 18 and 26 became ill during the flight, Health Canada officials told CTV Toronto.
At least twenty-eight people were examined in the airport by a medical team, who apparently told them little about the situation.
"We didn't know anything, that's the problem," said one man. "We came down from the plane and we were segregated. We had masks on, white suits on, and sat there for an hour until they told us to go home."
An official with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority refrained from saying the passengers had been "quarantined."

I applaud the budget, even though Health Care and education may stay unscathed. Sadly this cannot last and I worry to later this year where cuts will become enviable. If anything, this provides the Wildrose Alliance plenty of ammo when an election is called.
