CHICAGO The waiting game continues for Conrad Black as jurors in Chicago deliberate for a fourth day on the fate of the former press baron.
Black's fraud case went to the jury last Wednesday after three months of testimony, dozens of witnesses and hundreds of documents.
A jury of nine women and three men must now decide whether Black and three former Hollinger executives defrauded shareholders out of millions of dollars.
Prosecutors say the men skimmed US$60 million by pocketing portions of fees belonging to shareholders.
Black, Peter Atkinson, Jack Boultbee and Mark Kipnis deny any wrongdoing.
Jurors are expected to deliberate until 4:45 p.m. Central Time today and until 2 p.m. Tuesday, before taking Wednesday off for U.S. Independence Day.

I applaud the budget, even though Health Care and education may stay unscathed. Sadly this cannot last and I worry to later this year where cuts will become enviable. If anything, this provides the Wildrose Alliance plenty of ammo when an election is called.
