Canada's Francois-Louis Tremblay scraped through for the silver medal in men's short track 500 metre speed skating final.
Tremblay's teammate Eric Bedard finished just out of the medals in fourth place.
Tremblay, of Alma, Quebec, finished in a time of 42.002 seconds, just behind the U.S.'s Apolo Anton Ohno who finished in 41.935 for the gold.
Hyun-Soo Ahn of South Korea was third with a time of 42.089, barely slipping by Eric Bedard of Ste-Thecle, Que., who finished in 42.093.
Bedard would have joined the ranks of former Canadian skater Marc Gagnon, Gaetan Boucher and Cindy Klassen, who have all won four or more medals in the Winter Games.
Later today, Bedard will have a second chance to achieve another medal when he competes in the men's 5,000 metre relay.
