"CSI" is no stranger to crossovers, but when the show trades writers with the sitcom "Two and a Half Men," the results are going to be unpredictable. "CSI" is no stranger to crossovers, but when the show trades writers with the sitcom "Two and a Half Men," the results are going to be unpredictable. The proposed crossover was hatched last year when "Two and a Half Men" creator and TV veteran Chuck Lorre proposed the swap episodes with "CSI" producer Carol Mendelsohn. After the writers and actors approved, the switch was on. Though the writers' strike put those plans on hold, the episodes are finally slated to hit the air. The first part of the crossover begins on May 5, with the "Two and a Half" episode "Fish in a Drawer," penned by the "CSI" crew. The show revolves around a mysterious death at the home of Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen). George Eads, who plays crime scene analyst Nick Stokes on "CSI" will make a cameo on the sitcom. Robert Wagner and Jenny McCarthy will also guest-star. CTV will air the "CSI" episode written by the writers of "Two and a Half Men," entitled "Two and a Half Deaths," on Thursday, May 8. Katey Sagal ("Married with Children") will guest star as the lead actor in a sitcom who is known for her diva attitude. When her character is brutally murdered while filming her show in Las Vegas, it's up to the CSI crew to find out who did it. The premise of the "CSI" episode is rumoured to be based around Lorre's own experience working on the series "Cybill," starring Cybill Shepherd and "Rosanne," starring Rosanne Barr. |
