The third time's the charm for Method Man, who is returning to guest star as Drops on the hit series "CSI." Method Man, whose real name is Clifford Smith, is best known as a member of the seminal rap group, Wu-Tang Clan. In the episode entitled "Drop's Out," two murders occur in the same apartment building and the CSIs decide that they need to break an incarcerated convict out of jail in order to solve the crimes. The episode airs April 24 on CTV. Method Man plays "Drops," a Las Vegas promoter who has a knack for clashing with the CSIs whenever their investigations get too close to his entourage. The character first appeared in 2006 on the episode "Poppin' Tags," followed by "Big Shots" in 2007, and is no stranger to the CSI interrogation room. Method Man isn't the only rapper to ever appear on an episode of "CSI." One-time "Pimp My Ride" host Xzibit appeared in a season two episode of "CSI: Miami." As an actor, Method Man has appeared in recurring guest roles on both "The Wire" and "OZ," as well as roles in the films "Garden State" and "Soul Plane." In addition to his music and acting careers, Method Man is adding author to his resume as he's set to publish his own self-titled graphic novel in July. "CSI" airs Thursday nights on CTV, and is currently in its eighth season. |
