Mitchell plays the mysterious Dr. Juliet Burke, a member of the "others" who is caught up in a romantic relationship with Dr. Jack Shepherd (Matthew Fox). Introduced in season three, Juliet is an enigmatic character who has been scheming and deceiving in various ways. Mitchell says that as new details about Juliet emerge, she is confident she has her character figured out. "I've had a pretty clear idea of who she is, and I haven't really been wrong. There have been a couple things that surprised me a little, but it hasn't changed the way I saw her," says Mitchell. "The way I saw her, is that she's incredibly good at manipulation, and that she's incredibly dedicated to her cause. I think to temper all of that she has a lot of compassion. I don't think any of those things have changed." Juliet will take the focus on an upcoming episode of "Lost," entitled "The Other Woman." In the episode Juliet will get an unwelcome visit from someone in her past, and will be given orders to track down Charlotte Lewis and Daniel Faraday and keep them from completing their mission.
