CTV Announces Canadian Idol Audition Tour Details

CTV released further details today about the upcoming cross-country search for the next Canadian Idol. With the 11-city, 11-week audition tour kicking off in less than a month in Edmonton, full details about how, where and when to audition are now available. Prospective competitors can now download registration forms, research frequently asked questions (FAQs) and audition tips and read the full rules and regulations. CTV also announced today that auditions in Ottawa-Gatineau and Kitchener-Waterloo have been re-scheduled. Auditions in Ottawa will now be held March 25 and 26 while auditions in Kitchener-Waterloo will now be held April 22 and 23. As previously announced, the 2006 Canadian Idol "Easy-Access" tour makes it easier than ever to audition. There is no need to line up as competitors can now choose the day and time they want to audition: registration is open between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on each day of auditions. As well, almost all of the auditions are scheduled on weekends and most of the auditions will be held at malls. The auditions will be held at the following venues (all information subject to change):
As announced earlier, the maximum age for competitors has been increased from 26 to 28. Auditions for Canadian Idol are now open to all Canadians between the ages of 16 and 28 (inclusive) as of February 1, 2006.
