Hot on the heels of her breakout debut album and just before jetting off on her cross-country tour, Canadian Idol queen Melissa O'Neil can now add hosting duties to her list of achievements. The Calgary native will be stopping by the eTalk Daily studio on Wednesday, February 1 to co-host the show with Ben Mulroney. eTalk Daily, Canada's most-watched Canadian entertainment newsmagazine, airs Monday - Friday at 7 p.m. ET (check local listings) on CTV. Melissa O'Neil was the third Canadian Idol to be crowned and the first-ever female winner. The 17-year-old quickly established herself as a serious musical talent with her debut album and hit single, "Alive." The single went four-times platinum and has remained on the top of Canada's Singles Chart for over 16 weeks while her self-titled album has become a Certified Gold Record. O'Neil's latest single, "Let it Go," is currently climbing the charts and is in heavy rotation on MuchMusic. O'Neil and Canadian Idol runner-up Rex Goudie are about to begin a 35-city national concert tour, beginning Feb. 17 in North Bay. |
