Kalan Porter, Canadian Idol's kid superstar, is becoming quite the, well, superstar. Following the announcement of his big upcoming national tour, Porter has been selling out venues left and right — so it looks like there will be just as many young fans screaming in despair as screaming at his concerts.

If you live in Ontario, you're doubly screwed, because tickets to his already announced gigs disappeared as fast as Ryan Malcolm did from the public consciousness — all the dates sold out within hours. Since then, a second Toronto date has been added, as well as shows in Lindsay and Sudbury that have yet to hit the box office. You could also make the trek to Ottawa for Porter's free performance at the Winterlude festival.
The new and remaining dates on the tour will be up for grabs starting (and by the look of things, ending) this weekend, so get up early on Saturday or call in sick on Monday, depending on where you live.
Porter has been a surprise to chart watchers, with his quickly produced debut CD, 219 Days, hitting the Canadian SoundScan chart at #4.
