I started singing seriously around age 10 or 11. I would try to mimic my cousin and eventually began to sing with her in church. What is your favourite song to sing? Thicke's "Stupid Things" and Next's "You Are My High" What CD would your friends be surprised you own? An N'SYNC CD. Who in the music world do you think your style is most like? My style is a cross between Usher, Thicke, Stevie, etc. How would your friends describe you? They'd describe me as a good listener, goofy and silly at times, but still a bit reserved and level-headed. Besides performing, what other talents do you have? I'm not a bad athlete, I used to run track. I'm a writer as well. What are your goals in life? To be successful and to be truly happy. My definition of a Canadian Idol is: A person who has a good heart and real talent. Someone who is firm with their beliefs and who displays what a Canadian is. My definition of a Canadian Idol is ME! Who is your Canadian Idol? Shania Twain. She's a worldwide superstar and does a little bit of everything when it comes to music. Celine Dion is also one my Canadian Idols for the same reasons. Who in the Canadian Idol Top 11 did you identify with the most? I identified with Toya Alexis, I thnk, because of her drive. Every week she would just up her game. She's truly a talented woman. What are your greatest strengths entering this competition? It would have to be my voice. I may not have the gripping personality of others but I think I can sing a bit so hopefully my strength is my gift and talent. What is your biggest fear regarding this competition? Honestly, not doing my best and regretting it. If you don't make it on Canadian Idol, what will you do? Nothing would change. The whole experience would have made me a better person and it would have pushed me in the right direction to pursue my dreams. How would your life change if you were to become Canadian Idol? My dreams would be coming true and life would change in many ways but a lot of it would stay the same. |
