  • Big Buzz Series FLASH FORWARD, THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE and THE DR. OZ SHOW among 11 new series available online for catch-up viewing

  • CTV.ca delivers three times as many videos as Globaltv.com in June

Toronto, ON (August 31, 2009) - This fall's most-talked about series and last fall's break-out hits join Canada's most-watched television series on CTV.ca in 2009/10, as the network's new online lineup was announced today. New big buzz series FLASH FORWARD from ABC Studios, THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE and THE DR. OZ SHOW are among 11 fresh titles joining CTV.ca's lineup, which already includes blockbusters like GREY'S ANATOMY and LOST. Also joining CTV.ca this season are even more of Canada's most-watched series, including Top 10 hits THE AMAZING RACE and THE MENTALIST. CTV.ca allows viewers to catch up with their favourite CTV programs, while offering exclusive online content as well.

The new programs solidify CTV.ca's position as Canada's most popular online destination for network television video. In June, the latest month for which comScore data is available, CTV.ca delivered three times as many video streams as Global TV (6.15 million vs. 1.9 million) and had more than three times as many unique viewers (575,000 vs. 154,000). With its robust network video offerings, CTV.ca was the #1 choice for Canadian online television consumption over the course of the 2008/09 broadcast season.[1] Last season, the Top 3 series on CTV.ca were GOSSIP GIRL, with more than 10 million video views, followed by #2 GREY'S ANATOMY (#2) and #3 DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION (see below for remainder of Top 10 online series).[2] The three online hits return, joining more than 30 CTV series available at CTV.ca. In all, more than 200 TV series are available on demand on CTV's many websites.

"Canadians flocked to CTV.ca during the 2008/2009 television season, embracing our unparalleled lineup of award-winning shows and helping us to achieve stellar growth in the process," said Stephan Argent, CTV's Vice-President, Digital Media. "As the leader in Canada's online video space, we've learned a lot about what Canadians want from their online viewing experience. Building on this momentum, today's announcement will further establish CTV.ca as Canada's most popular destination for network video."

Responding to an outpouring of support from fans across Canada, CTV's own THE LITTLEST HOBO returns home exclusively online with all six seasons to be rolled out over the course of the season.

To add to viewers' nostalgia fix, more than 200 RETRO MINISODES, available exclusively on CTV.ca, will provide five-minute snackable episodes from the hit shows of the past, including DIFF'RENT STROKES, TJ HOOKER and CHARLIE'S ANGELS.
