And that's a wrap. When the curtain comes down on the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend, theatres across the city will have unspooled more than 350 films. 

Set amidst the sprawling Johannesburg township of Soweto - where survival is the primary objective - TSOTSI traces six days in the life of a ruthless young gang leader who ends up caring for a baby accidentally kidnapped during a car-jacking.

A UK-South African collaboration that traces six days in the life of a ruthless gang leader has won the People's Choice Award at the 30th annual Toronto International Film Festival. 

Thank You For Smoking: Mario Bello as an alcohol industry spokesperson, David Koechner as firearms industry spokesman  and Aaron Eckhart as Nick Naylor, lobbyist for Big Tobacco

Though TIFF has long prided itself on behind the "people's festival" with no official market component, the buzz is that several high-profile deals were inked during the 10-day event.
