native David Occhipinti and Nova Scotian-born Mike Murley pool their considerable
musical skills to great effect on Duologue. David is a guitarist/composer
who has released three solo albums, and studied with legendary guitarist
Jim Hall, while Mike is a saxophonist/composer who has appeared on seven
JUNO Award-winning albums. He is currently a member of popular groups
Metalwood and The Rob McConnell Tentet, and has played and recorded with
such greats as Kenny Wheeler, John Abercrombie and Randy Brecker. |

agenda. One Take comprises Toronto musicians Vito Rezza, Lorne Lofsky,

shared stages with the likes of Joe Lovano and Sonny Fortune. On Cafe
Varzé Jazz, he has assembled some stellar players to record the

John Stetch

Albertan
jazz pianist John Stetch studied at The University of Alberta and McGill
University before moving to the jazz mecca of New York City. His 1998
release, Green Groove, won a major prize at The Montreal Jazz Festival,
while Standards features fluent takes on some classic tunes. Stetch's
stylish playing has drawn comparisons to Oscar Peterson and Oliver Jones. |
