The acclaimed soprano shines on Chants d’Auvergne, a collection
of folksong arrangements by French composer Joseph Canteloube. She is
accompanied by the Canadian Chamber Ensemble and conductor Raffi Armenian

Tafelmusik Chamber Choir & Ivars Taurins Chants Sacrés et Profanes

Ivars
Taurins founded and directed the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir since 1981.
In 1991, the Choir received the Canada Council's Healey Willan Prize "in
recognition of its consistently high level of achievement and unique contribution
to choral art in Canada." Mr. Taurins conducted the Choir on highly-praised
and JUNO-nominated recordings of Handel and Bach. Chants Sacrés
Et Profanes features 19th and 20th century French a capella music. |
