Norma Beecroft Amplified String Quartet with Tape
|
 |
After
pursuing her musical education in Canada, the U.S., and Europe, Oshawa
native Norma Beecroft began developing an adventurously original compositional
style. Many of her compositions combine electronically produced or altered
sounds together with live instruments, and Stockhausen has been cited
as an influence. Ms. Beecroft has also played an important role as a producer
and commentator on contemporary music, and has produced many documentaries
for the CBC. |

on his work. |

the direction of Mario Bernardi, and it showcased his dynamic writing

emotion and to coherent discourse, as seen in such compositions as his
