OLYMPIC DEBUT
Men: 1924 Chamonix, France
Women: 1952 Oslo, Norway
ORIGINS
Cross country was one of the first disciplines on the Winter Olympic program. Canada did not compete in the first Games of 1924 largely because Chamonix, France was awarded Olympic status only after the events were concluded.
However, from 1928 on, Canada has had complete or partial representation in subsequent Winter Olympics. |
