AC/DC, 'Black Ice' Black Ice is the long-awaited new album from these Australian rock legends. Produced by Brendan O'Brien and mixed by Mike Fraser at the Warehouse in Vancouver, it premieres 15 new AC/DC compositions, including the first single, 'Rock 'N' Roll Train,' which peaked at No. 1 on the Canadian rock radio chart. COLDPLAY, 'Viva La Vida' WINNERColdplay has sold 30 million albums, is known for its hit singles, such as 'Yellow' 'The Scientist' 'Clocks' and 'Viva la Vida'. Coldplay's latest album, Viva La Vida, debuted at No. 1 on both the Soundscan Album Chart in Canada and the Billboard 200 in the U.S. This is Coldplay's third straight studio album to debut at No. 1 in Canada. GUNS N' ROSES, 'Chinese Democracy'Guns N' Roses is an American rock band, formed in Los Angeles, in 1985. The band, led by frontman and co-founder Axl Rose, has gone through numerous line-up changes and controversies since their formation. The band's 1987 major label debut album Appetite for Destruction sold in excess of 28 million copies. In all, G N' R released six studio albums, two EPs and one live album during their career and sold an estimated 100 million albums worldwide. JACK JOHNSON, 'Sleep Through The Static'Jack Johnson is a Hawaii-born singer-songwriter, musician, filmmaker, and surfer who achieved commercial success and a dedicated following, after the release of his 2001 debut album, Brushfire Fairytales. He has since released five more albums and a number of EPs. His music is best described as acoustic soft rock. Sleep Through the Static is his fifth studio album. The first single, 'If I Had Eyes,' was released via Johnson's MySpace page; the second single was 'Hope' which peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks. METALLICA, 'Death Magnetic'Metallica is a metal band that formed in 1981. Founded when drummer Lars Ulrich posted an advertisement in an L.A. newspaper, Metallica's line-up has primarily consisted of Ulrich, rhythm guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield and lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, while going through a number of bassists. Currently, the spot is held by Robert Trujillo. Death Magnetic is the band's ninth studio album and first studio album to feature and be produced by Rick Rubin. Metallica is the first band to ever have five consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S. Internationally, the album peaked at No. 1 in 32 countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
