1. TO ENTER CTV’s 2006 Juno Awards® on Enhanced TV – Predict the Winners contest (the “Contest”) on Sunday, April 2, 2006, simply visit the web site located at junos.ctv.ca during the broadcast on CTV of the 2006 Juno Awards® which is scheduled to commence at 7:00 pm ET.
Click the "Enhanced TV" contest button, login using your Walt Disney Internet Group name and password, and then follow the instructions to play the “CTV’s Enhanced TV Predict the Winners" game along with the broadcast of the awards show.
To be eligible to enter and to win a prize, you must first register with Walt Disney Internet Group. If you have already registered with the Walt Disney Internet Group, you need not register again. Registration is free, only required once, and you can register anytime, including during a broadcast. Enhanced TV (“ETV”) will provide several opportunities for user registration during the Interactive event. To register now, log on to ETV at junos.ctv.ca. Click on the "Register Now!" button and follow the registration instructions.
Upon returning to any ETV application, you will be prompted for your established user name and password. You will be asked to consent to receive occasional updates, special offers, and other information from carefully selected third parties. Consenting to receive occasional updates, special offers, and other information is optional and does not have to be agreed to in order to be eligible to enter the Contest and does not improve your chances of winning. In the event you do consent to receive such occasional updates, special offers, and other information, the use of such communication shall be subject to the respective privacy policies of CTV Television Inc., Frito Lay Canada, Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences ("CARAS") and American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (“ABC”). There will be one (1) game in this promotion. Check local listings for broadcast times in your area. Broadcast date and times may be changed or pre-empted without notice.
Final deadline for entry is at the conclusion of the Juno Awards® on April 2, 2006. Limit of one entry per registration per individual, regardless of the method of entry or email addresses, telephone numbers or addresses provided. For every 5,000 points earned in the game, registrant will receive one (1) bonus entry in the Grand Prize draw. Entries received on-line shall be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
Contest starts at 7:00:01 pm Eastern Time (“ET”) on April 2, 2006 and closes at the end of the broadcast of the Juno Awards® (scheduled for 9:00:00 pm Eastern Time (“ET”) on April 2, 2006 (the “Contest Period”). There is one (1) grand prize (the “Grand Prize”) and ten (10) secondary prizes (each, a “Secondary Prize”), (collectively, the “Prizes”, each, a “Prize”) to be won from among all the eligible entries received during the Contest Period. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
2. The contest sponsors are: CTV Television Inc. and Frito Lay Canada, a division of Pepsi-Cola Canada Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Sponsors”).
3. Game Play: Please note that game must be played in accordance with the “CTV’s Enhanced TV Predict The Winners” Rules of Play. Click here to view these rules of play.
4. To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of Canada and be over the age of majority in his or her province or territory of residence. Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of any of the Contest Sponsors, CARAS, ABC, ABC Multimedia, Inc., The Walt Disney Company, The Concept Studio, LLC, their agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies, administrators, are ineligible to enter.
5. Grand Prize: There is one (1) Grand Prize consisting of one (1) Vespa PX 150. Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) CDN. The Grand Prize winner is responsible for picking up the Grand Prize from the closest licensed Vespa retailer to his or her place of residence in Canada . More information about the Grand Prize and a list of licensed dealer locations can be found at www.vespacanada.com. Grand Prize winner must provide proof of a valid drivers licence and is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein, including but not limited to pick up or shipment of the Grand Prize, title, vehicle licence, insurance, transportation, preparation, fuel, registration fees and any safety equipment which may be required in claiming, registering or using the Grand Prize, and any other related taxes or costs.
6. Secondary Prizes: There are ten (10) Secondary Prizes each consisting of one (1) Juno Awards 2006 compilation CD. Approximate retail value of each Secondary Prize is Nineteen Dollars and Ninety Nine cents ($19.99 ).
7. Prize must be accepted as awarded. The Prize may not be sold, transferred and is not convertible to cash. Contest Sponsors and CARAS reserve the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prize is unavailable. Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein.
8. On or after Monday, April 17th, 2006 at approximately 10:00 a.m. ET, a random draw for the Grand Prize will take place at CTV Television Inc. Scarborough, Ontario, from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The first entry drawn will be eligible to win the Grand Prize. Ten (10) Secondary Prize winners will be selected on the basis of the highest cumulative scores (according to the Rules of Play) in each of the following five (5) time zone regions: Pacific Time, Mountain Time, Central Time, Eastern Time and Atlantic Time, for a total of ten (10) winners. In the event of a tie for Secondary Prize(s), Secondary Prize(s) will be awarded in a random draw from all registered top score entrants, until all announced Secondary Prizes are awarded. The odds of winning the Prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. CTV Television Inc., acting reasonably, will attempt to contact potential winner, by e-mail within two (2) business days after the draw. In the event the potential winner cannot be contacted within 2 business days after the draw, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be drawn. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared a winner, potential winner must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by CTV Television Inc. Before being awarded a Prize, potential winner will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors and CARAS, a full release and indemnity form stating that he/she has read and understood these official rules and regulations (“Rules”), grants all consents required, authorizes the Contest Sponsors, CARAS, ABC, ABC Multimedia, Inc., The Walt Disney Company and The Concept Studio, LLC, (collectively the “Releasees”) to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, city of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential winner , beyond the awarding of or participation in the Prize, accepts the Prize as offered and releases the Releasees from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. In the event that the potential winner does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Sponsors and CARAS shall have the right to disqualify potential winner and draw an alternate potential winner and the Contest Sponsors and CARAS shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential winner shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified winner has been duly selected.
9. By entering this Contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors and CARAS with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest.
10. All entries become the property of Contest Sponsors and CARAS who assume no responsibility for garbled, in audible, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting names of Prize winner (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Contest Sponsors and CARAS do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsors and CARAS, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond their control, Contest Sponsors and CARAS reserve their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest including canceling any method of entry, and select a winner from previously received eligible entries. Contest Sponsors and CARAS reserve their right to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof. The Contest Sponsors and CARAS reserve their right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Contest Sponsors and CARAS in their sole discretion, further reserve their right to terminate the Contest and conduct the drawing from all on-line entries previously received during the Contest Period. Any attempts to deliberately damage the Contest web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made the Contest Sponsors and CARAS reserve their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. Contest Sponsors and CARAS shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest web site, where applicable.
11. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. Personal information collected from entrants will be used by CTV Television Inc. (“CTV’), Frito Lay Canada (“FLC”), CARAS and ABC for the purpose of administering this Contest and, if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide the entrants with occasional updates, special offers, and other information. Entrants are able to opt in to receive such marketing information online. CTV, FLC, CARAS and ABC will not sell, share or otherwise disclose personal information of entrants with third parties, other than to third parties engaged by them to fulfill the above purposes or as permitted or required by law. By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in the CTV Privacy Policy at ctv.ca, the FLC Privacy Policy at fritolay.ca, the ABC Privacy Policy at abc.go.com and the CARAS Privacy Policy at carasonline.ca. 12. For Quebec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of this contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Quebec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
