HOW TO PLAY

Log on to junos.ctv.ca and click on the Enhanced TV button beginning at 7:00PM ET on Sunday, April 2, 2006. The Enhanced TV 2006 Juno Awards application will then load.

Elements of the Game

Trivia questions are frequently asked during the broadcast and commercial breaks. Enhanced TV will also pose live Polls to deliver detailed background information, and video capture of behind the scenes action, and deeper content and information. It also serves as a forum to collect User Comments about a variety of issues.

Predict the Winner

Players can score points by correctly predicting the recipient of the 2006 Juno Awards in each respective Juno category. As each list of nominees is read, users will be able to choose who they think will win. Choices must be made before the winner of the category is revealed. The faster a prediction is made; a higher number of bonus points can be earned. Bonus points appear in parentheses beside the base score value and will decrease every second. Users will have the ability to change their answers prior to the award being revealed on the air, bonus points will be scaled appropriately.

Trivia

During commercial breaks, additional bonus trivia questions will appear in the game screen. The possible answers will appear in the answer area. Users can choose what they think the correct answer is. For each correct answer, points will be added to the user's overall score. Users who answer quickly will be awarded a higher number of bonus points. Bonus points appear in parentheses beside the base score value and will decrease every second. Users will have the ability to change their answers prior to the time allowed to answer expiring, bonus points will be scaled appropriately.

Polls

Several times throughout the broadcast, Enhanced TV will post opinion poll questions about the 2006 Juno Awards, the telecast, presenters, nominees, and winners. Users can respond and see the results of the polls in real-time within the interactive application. No points will be awarded for participation.

User comments

Enhanced TV will also solicit user comments on a variety of issues related to the 2006 Juno Awards and the telecast itself. The best comments, as selected by the interactive staff, will be displayed during the telecast.

Game screen

Enhanced TV will create and execute real-time graphics and information reactive to the 2006 Juno Awards telecast. For example, as a presenter is reading the list of nominees for a particular category, the application will have a picture of that presenter along with a career chronology for deeper back-story and information. Additional information of interest will be available on both the left and right side of the Enhanced TV 2006 Juno Awards game screen.

Your score and prizes

Users' Enhanced TV Score is cumulative, throughout the entire broadcast and across all categories appearing on the broadcast including predict the winner, trivia, and bonus questions. Enhanced TV users can see in real-time how they shape up against all other players by using the real-time leaderboard. For prize information, refer to the official rules and regulations.
