DeSouza, Troy

Troy DeSouza graduated from Mount Douglas High School in 1986. Thereafter, Troy attended the University of Victoria, where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. He then completed his Law Degree at University of Windsor in 1997, and was elected Student's Law Society President. Troy recieved the J.W. Whiteside Award for community service. Troy is currently a municipal prosecutor with the law firm of Staples, McDannold, Stewart.

Troy is committed to giving back to the community in which he was raised. He is a province-wide instructor for by-law enforcement officer's courses and the former captain of the Canadian Forces Reserves. He is also the Past President of Young Lawyers of Victoria and the Past Director of the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival Society

Troy's family moved to Victoria in 1979, and he and his wife, Kismet, both work and have strong family roots in the community. Troy and Kismet are proud parents of their daughter, Ava.
