Hladyshevsky, AndyAlberta, Edmonton - Strathcona, Liberal Party of Canada Andy Hladyshevsky is a member of the law firm Fraser Milner Casgrain’s Corporate Commercial Practice Section. His practice involves a broad range of entrepreneurial- based corporate and commercial services, including intellectual property protection and commercialization, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, governance and commercial transactions. Mr. Hladyshevsky represents a variety of Alberta-based private and public companies. Mr. Hladyshevsky is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta. He is the chair of the Business Corporations Act Advisory Committee and sits on the Corporate Commercial Advisory Committee. Mr. Hladyshevsky is also very involved in a number of charitable and community organizations. He is a founding director of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, and has been a Board Member since 1996. He also serves as chairman of the finance committee and a member of the “friends of the Canadian Ethno-Cultural Centre” at the University of Alberta. Mr. Hladyshevsky is also a former chairman of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the Edmonton Concert Foundation. For the past year, he has been engaged as an advisor to both boards of directors regarding a restructuring of the organizations and meeting with community representatives and union representatives to determine potential options for the future of these arts organizations. In addition, Mr. Hladyshevsky is a past President of The Shevchenko Foundation, a charter and philanthropic institution that engages in the development of Canadian cultural heritage. This umbrella organization represents some 1.3 million Canadians of Ukrainian heritage in the field of fine arts and cultural development. Mr. Hladyshevsky has a Bachelor of Science (Distinction), an MBA and a law degree from the University of Alberta. He was called to the Bar in 1980 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2000.
