Mark, InkyManitoba, Dauphin - Swan River - Marquette, Conservative Party of Canada Inky Mark was first elected to Parliament in 1997. He was re-elected in 2000 and 2004. Mr. Mark was born in Toysun Province, China. He came to Canada in 1955. The family settled in Gilbert Plains, MB. Prior to entering Parliament, Mr. Mark taught school. Along with his wife he operated a series of small businesses. Mr. Mark obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Brandon University, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba. He also pursued graduate studies abroad. Mr. Mark is a certified insurance broker and real estate broker. Mr. Mark is also a licensed pilot. Mr. Mark began his political career in 1991 as a member of the Dauphin Town Council. As a parliamentarian, Mr. Mark has served as Citizenship and Immigration critic, and Indian Affairs and Northern Development critic. Inky Mark and his wife, Lynda, have two grown sons.
