Finley, DianeOntario, Haldimand - Norfolk, Conservative Party of Canada Diane Finley was raised in Port Dover and Charlotteville, and her family has lived and worked in the riding for seven generations. After graduating from Port Dover Composite School, she attended the University of Western Ontario, where she earned a BA and an MBA. Fluently bilingual in English and French, Diane’s professional career has included progressively senior positions in both the public and private sectors encompassing health care, transportation, agricultural equipment manufacturing, printing and publishing, and aviation. Beyond her work, Diane has been active in a wide range of professional and community organizations and was named “one of Canada’s future leaders” by the prestigious Governor-General’s Study Conference 2000. For many years, Diane has been active in small-c conservative political campaigns through her professional life has had considerable experience in the area of policy development and legislative change. On July 22, 2004, Diane Finley was appointed by Conservative Leader Stephen Harper as the Official Opposition Critic for Agriculture and Agri-food.
