McColeman, PhilOntario, Brant, Conservative Party of Canada Phil McColeman is the Conservative Party candidate for Brant. Phil is a Brantford native and a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University. In 1977, he attended Kent State University in Ohio on a hockey scholarship, to further his studies at graduate school. Phil is committed to excellence in the performance of his governance duties, making sure local issues are addressed at the Federal level of government, and providing a new, principled vision for a better Canada. Phil has been a prominent member of the business community, serving as the President, from 1993-94, of the Ontario Home Builder’s Association, as the Director, from 1995-96, of the Ontario New Home Warranty Program, and as the President, from 1987-88, of the Brantford Home Builder’s Association Consultant to Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation. Phil currently operates his own project management, property management & real estate development businesses in Brantford. Phil has also been an active member of the community, serving as the Vice Chair of the Brantford Police Services Board (2003 – present), and as a board member and president of the Lansdowne Children’s Centre (1993-2003). He has also been a council appointee for the Downtown Revitalization Grants Committee (2003), a member and director of the Rotary Club of Brantford (1992-present), a chairman of the Mayor’s Task Force on Downtown Revitalization, and a Director of the Brantford Regional Chamber of Commerce. Phil has been married to his wife Nancy for 29 years. They have four children, Sarah, 26, Jessica, 24, Lauren, 21, and Jordan, 18.
