Robillard, LucienneQuebec, Westmount - Ville-Marie, Liberal Party of Canada The Honourable Lucienne Robillard P.C., M.P., President of the Privy Council and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, is proud to run once again as the Liberal candidate for Westmount-Ville Marie. Ms. Robillard is the Co-Chair of the 2005 National Campaign. Lucienne Robillard was first elected to the House of Commons in 1995, representing the riding of Saint-Henri — Westmount, and has since been Minister of many departments, such as: Minister of Labour and Minister responsible for the federal campaign in the 1995 Quebec Referendum, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration and Co-Chair of the 1997 Election Platform Committee, President of the Treasury Board and Minister responsible for the Infrastructure program. She has also served as Minister of Industry, Minister responsible for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada. Before entering federal politics, Mrs. Robillard was elected as the member for Chambly at the Quebec National Assembly from 1989 to 1994, where she held a number of portfolios, such as Cultural Affairs, Higher Education and Science, Education and Science, as well as Health and Social Services. Lucienne Robillard has also had a distinguished career in Quebec’s health and social service system. From 1967 to 1978, She worked as a facilitator for young people in a kibbutz in Israel from 1969 to 1972. She also served as a “curatrice publique” (public trustee) in Quebec from 1986 to 1989. Born in Montreal, Ms. Robillard has a Master’s degree in Social Services from the University of Montreal and an MBA from Montreal’s École des Hautes Études Commerciales.
