Why an anglophone candidate in Trois-Rivières ?

The reason for having a mainly anglophone candidate in Trois-Rivières is that our actual political and judicial authorities do not seem to understand what is said in the French preambule of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and prefer to use the flawed and defective english derivative of the third preambule of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, which says:

Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law, ...

When he wrote the CCRF, Trudeau cropped this preamble so to eliminate the reference to the individual’s rights and kept the rule of law as a goal, instead of a tool. The right, which should be the ultimate goal just disappeared.

The French translation of the third preamble of the UDHR to the CCDL fully respects the meaning of the UN document, but it is not respected even by our courts, these guardians of our institutions who did not protect their own motto against the power fever of some of their members. They seem to like the power that comes along with the english version and prefer to put us in jail by the rule of law, rather than to recognize and protect our rights, among which: the right to smoke all the weed you want!

Instead of a regime of individual right that turns Canada into a police state and a lawyers’ caste regime, as exposed and described in George Orwell’s 1984.
