Girard, MartineQuebec, Trois-Rivières, Liberal Party of Canada Martine Girard is proud to represent the Liberal Party of Canada as the candidate for Trois-Rivières. Martine Girard, was born in Trois-Rivières in 1975, and would like to return to live in her native region. The years she spent studying at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières led her to a B.Sc. in medical biology and a M.Sc. in biophysics and cellular biology. She is currently in a Ph.D. program in neurology at McGill University and hopes to be admitted to the faculty of medicine. Her passion for medical science has enabled her to attend a number of international conventions, which have given her a wonderful opportunity to learn about different cultures and ideas. When she was very young, she was aware of how political issues related to health, and particularly the health of seniors. Access to health care and advanced technology in regional hospitals, and the social integration of seniors, are two causes that she truly believes in. Although she has visited many cities in the United States and Europe and currently lives in Montreal, Ms. Girard’s heart is where her home is – in Trois-Rivières. Her most fervent wish is therefore to return to live in this majestic region, working as a doctor.
