Lavoie, Ghislain

The father of three children, Mr. Lavoie is a consultant dietician with a degree from Université Laval. He practiced this profession in several hospitals for more than 30 years. He was also a professor of administration and nutrition at the Université de Chicoutimi, as well as at the Chicoutimi and St-Félicien cegeps.

With regard to community and social involvement, Mr. Lavoie has fulfilled many different responsibilities in numerous professional, charitable, educational and cultural organiza¬tions. He was a member of the Immigration and Refugee Board from 1992 to 2001.

An active member of the Party for many years, Mr. Lavoie ran as a Conservative in the 2004 election.
