Vicky Harvey is proud to be the Liberal candidate for Hochelaga.

Ms. Harvey, a native of Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean, is 24 years old. Living and working in Montreal while studying accounting, she quickly warmed to the concerns of the people living in her riding.

Ms. Harvey wants to be a federal MP in order to promote social justice, to give a more important voice to women and young people, and to combat poverty.

Ms. Harvey has for many years been involved in the arts community, and has written and presented a number of plays. She has also organized social events for young people to enable them to discuss a variety of issues such as social causes and politics. Her ability to lead and to rally people, which came to the fore when she was still very young, led her to represent the Eastern Montreal Young Liberals of Canada (Quebec) .

Ms. Harvey is dynamic, sociable, open and artistic. She took an interest in politics when still very young and has worked actively in Quebec politics over the past four years, prior to making the leap to the federal arena. She is also firmly convinced that by working with the Liberal Party of Canada that she will best be able to serve the interests of the people of Hochelaga and Quebec in Canada’s Parliament.
