Mr. Marler is from Montreal and completed studies in law and literature at McGill University as well as at Bishop’s University. In his practice he specializes in transportation law and international law. Both the public and private sectors have sought his skills. Some cases he pleaded have entered jurisprudence. He has spoken at many law schools and for well-known companies and published numerous articles on maritime law. He has also received the Martindale-Hubbel Prize.

Mr. Marler is also very involved in community issues. He has been a city councillor, and a member of several recreational, cultural and sport associations. He also loves nature, and is concerned about environmental preservation.
