Eliminated: Top 12

Originally from Haiti, 23 year-old hip-hop dancer Daniel Dory is ecstatic to be part of the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 2 Top 20. The Montrealer says finding out he was part of this illustrious group was one of the best moments of his young life. Also trained in contemporary dance, Daniel's training has had him dancing in cities across North America, including New York and Los Angeles, and he also performed as part of the opening act for Celine Dion's 2009 concert in Montreal.

Daniel is a passionate dancer and would have loved to have shared the stage with the late Judy Garland. He always looks forward to learning new things and is excited about embarking on the Top 20 journey. Daniel says that having a positive attitude and staying focused has helped take him this far into the competition. Also, the support he receives from his family and close friends has helped to keep him motivated throughout this challenging process.

Although he is looking forward to making his own way in the world of dance, Daniel admires SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA special guest judges and choreographers Blake McGrath and Luther Brown. He says "Blake and Luther are such great role models for other Canadian dancers and have had the opportunity to work with numerous superstar artists."

From the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA auditions to Finals Week, Daniel has grown as a dancer, making him more focused and present when he performs. He now knows he can give more of himself on stage and looks forward to taking his dancing to the next level.

Daniel would most like to work with choreographer and special guest judge Luther Brown and would really like to see judge Jean Marc Genereux perform. When asked what viewers can expect of his performances during the coming season, Daniel said "flavour and soul."
