Eliminated: Top 16

Hailing from Quebec City, QC, Nicolas has a strong B-Boy background and has performed with Quebec-based B-Boy crew Q.C. Roc. He has performed in an array of events including the 400th Anniversary of Quebec City in 2008, and the 2006 JUNO AWARDS. Nicolas has also appeared on the small screen as an extra in the Radio-Canada series MATCH DES ÉTOILES. Viewers can expect SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 2 Top 20 competitor Nicolas Bégin to be "a dancer that has a few tricks in his bag and who works endlessly."

With his father as his greatest inspiration, it's no surprise that Nicolas comes from a very proud household. "It does not matter where I end up in the competition, my parents will be proud of me. They can't wait to share the fact that I am part of the show with all their friends and family members."

With a strong background in hip-hop, Nicolas has been a dance teacher and specialized in hip-hop and break dancing for almost 16 years. His biggest accomplishment to date was bringing his students to the World Hip-Hop Championship in Las Vegas, where they represented Canada.

During his time on the show, Nicolas hopes his positive personality will bring energy to the show. "I am quite versatile for a B-Boy. I dance many styles and pick up choreography pretty quickly," he says.

Nicolas believes SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA special guest judge and choreographer Blake McGrath's contemporary class has been the most challenging aspect of his Top 20 experience thus far. "As a dancer, I am accustomed to have all my movements flow into one another, while here I feel you need to stay focused to master the choreography in sections." Although Nicolas feels he needs to work on his jazz and contemporary styles, he wants viewers to know "I am not only a B-Boy but a well-rounded dancer as well."
