Eliminated: Top 20

Tatiana Parker credits her own hard work and dedication for helping her crack the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Top 20. The hip hop dancer says she was "ecstatic, surprised and overjoyed" when she heard the amazing news.

Like many of her fellow dancers, Tatiana has found the most challenging part of the competition to be the lack of sleep throughout the audition process. Still, she believes she will be able to show the audience and judges "that dance is my life."

Supported by family and friends, Tatiana has found the biggest source of encouragement has been from her brother Noah. "Since finding out that I made Top 20 he's become somewhat of a drill sergeant, constantly telling me to take a class and train in every single style of dance. You'd think he was an expert, but in actual fact he knows nothing about dance!" she exclaims.

As a hip-hop dancer, Tatiana is excited to work with SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA special guest judge and choreographer Luther Brown, and has always dreamt of dancing for Missy Elliot. "I would watch her videos as a little kid and wish I was in them. I still hope to one day dance for her," she says.

Finding out she had been booked for the Massari World Tour was one of the best moments of Tatiana's life. "I knew it was the start of my professional dance career," she says. Tatiana even got a tattoo to commemorate the experience which reads "A step into the future" - in Arabic "because the tour, to me, was a step into my future," she maintains.

In her spare time, Tatiana enjoys cutting up clothes and making them into something new and unique and is excited to be part of a show where the dancers are featured "rather than just in the background." "Also," she adds, "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA helps viewers understand our hard work, dedication and passion for dance."
