Eliminated: Top 18 Calgary native Anthony Grafton nearly fainted when he found out he was going be part of the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 2 Top 20. "Each week, Canada can expect to see the best performance I've got," he says. Trained in ballroom, Anthony has participated in competitions around the world, including the United States and England. Anthony believes that to become Canada's Favourite Dancer you need to bring character to the stage when you dance. He also thinks that his determination and charisma have been the driving force behind his success in the competition so far. Although his background is as a competitive ballroom dancer, Anthony is looking forward to trying out new styles of dance on the show. He would love to work with Emmy® Award-winning choreographers Mia Michaels or Wade Robson, saying that "their interpretation of dance is nothing short of breathtaking." The dancer from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA's first season that Anthony most relates to the most is Top 4 finalist Miles Faber. He says "the versatility that Miles demonstrated on the show last year was the result of very hard work, and that is the same recipe for success that I have had to employ." Anthony's biggest support system comes from his mother as well as his dance coaches. He believes their constant support and dedication to his development as a dancer and helped him get to where he is today. When asked how SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA has changed him, Anthony says "it has deepened my level of respect for other dance styles." He also says that being yourself can get you a lot further than you think and can help you tackle levels you didn't know were possible. |
