Malawi is a nation of children.  51% of the population is under the age of 18. There are over 2 million orphaned or vulnerable children in this small African country.

An entire adult generation has been eradicated due to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.  One girl we met proved to be the purest symbol of these brutal circumstances.

Teenaged Naomi has been burdened with raising her 5 brothers and sisters (including 2-year-old Yohane) since she was 15 - when her mother died and her father abandoned them.
