THE CANADIAN PRESS / Andre Forget Kyle Shewfelt missed the chance to defend his Athens 2004 gold medal in floor routine gymnastics. He failed to qualify for the finals in Beijing on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008. Shewfelt placed 11th overall, a respectable finish considering his courageous comeback to international competition after breaking both legs.
