50 Photos: Royals make a comeback in 2011
2011 marked a major shift for the Royal family. Instead of making headlines for all the wrong reasons, Britain's most famous family was a source for excitement and renewed enthusiasm in the monarchy. From the highly-anticipated wedding of Prince William and his commoner-bride Kate to the fascinator fad, Royal fever spread around the world. Best Man and Maid of Honour named
The then royal-couple-to-be announced their decision to designate special roles to members of the family. Prince William chose his brother Prince Harry to be his best man, and Kate Middleton chose her sister Philippa -- known as Pippa -- to serve as her maid of honour. The announcement was made on February 14, 2011.
