Twi-Harder: Top Unintentionally Funny Moments
The Twilight Saga may drive fans into a frenzy, but it also drives critics into fits of laughter. The movies are meant to tell an epic love story, so what's so funny? Maybe it's the bad acting or cringe-worthy dialogue. Whatever the reason, the movies brim with hilarity. And with 'Breaking Dawn, Part One,' there's bound to be more. CTVNews.ca's Laura Cicchirillo lists the top unintentionally funny moments.

Scene: Edward's first biology class with Bella
Movie: Twilight
Why it's funny: Bella's scent is so overpowering that it pushes Edward to a near frenzy. Robert Pattinson's acting is anything but subtle. His wide eyes and flared nostrils leave audiences laughing and wondering how badly Bella must reek.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Jasper enters the school cafeteria
Movie: Twilight
Why it's funny: Jessica gives a quick overview of the Cullen clan to the new girl at school, Bella Swan. She describes Jasper Hale as looking like he's always 'in pain,' and he certainly looks it. Also not one for subtlety, Jackson Rathbone's wide eyes and tight, straight mouth only look silly.

Scene: Bella and Edward talk about the weather
Movie: Twilight
Why it's funny: When Edward asks Bella about the rain, she just sputters like she's never thought about the weather before. Maybe Stewart was trying to portray a nervous teen with a school girl crush, but all she managed to do was twitch and garble her lines.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Edward reveals to Bella he's a vampire
Movie: Twilight
Why it's funny: As he leaps into a tree, Pattinson melodramatically portrays his near madness and frustration with being a 108-year-old vampire. The over-the-top performance takes away from what could potentially be an intense and memorable movie moment.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Edward sparkles for the first time
Movie: Twilight
Why it's funny: Viewers who never read the books were undoubtedly perplexed and perturbed during this scene. As Edward walks into the sunlight, intent on showing Bella his true form, how can you not expect some hideous monstrous vampire to emerge? Instead, we see a glittery Robert Pattinson.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Bella asks Edward for a kiss on her birthday
Movie: New Moon
Why it's funny: The desperation in her eyes, and a voice that is both breathless and lispy, make Bella's birthday request laughable and cringe-worthy.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Bella is devastated after breakup
Movie: New Moon
Why it's funny: Overcome with shock, Bella crumbles to the dirt floor, pulls herself into a fetal position, and remains there until found by a neighbouring werewolf. Just for good measure, the next scene shows Bella staring out a window with vacant eyes for four months straight.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Jacob Black's shirtless scenes
Movie: New Moon, Eclipse, and probably Breaking Dawn parts one and two
Why it's funny: By now it is common knowledge that Taylor Lautner gained 30 lbs of muscle to stay on as Jacob Black in the Twilight Saga. And just in case you don't know, the young actor's endless -- and oftentimes pointless -- shirtless scenes will surely remind you.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Bella at the movies with Eric and Jacob
Movie: New Moon
Why it's funny: After Eric falls ill during the movie, Jacob rolls his eyes and remarks, 'What a marshmallow.' The Twilight Saga is full of laughable, distracting lines. Honourable mention: Edward tells Bella, 'Hold on tight, spidermonkey,' when he climbs a tree with her on his back.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Bella jumps off a cliff to see Edward
Movie: New Moon
Why it's funny:
Bella is so distraught after Edward breaks up with her that she begins to engage in a series of high-risk behaviour. The dangerous acts give her adrenaline rushes that prompt visions of Edward. Honourable mention: Jumping on the back of a stranger riding a motorcycle.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Riding the elevator with Jane
Movie: New Moon
Why it's funny: Jane is a member of the sadistic vampire royal family, the Volturi. As the trio heads down to the lair, one would think the scene would be filled with dread. Instead, the 20 second scene interrupts said fear with a long, awkward silence that would be better suited for comedy.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Most scenes
Movie: Eclipse
Why it's funny: Kristen Stewart chopped off all her hair before filming Eclipse to play Joan Jett. It hadn't quite grown in yet, so the young star donned a distractingly bad wig for the third Twilight movie.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Bella punches Jacob after he kisses her
Movie: Eclipse
Why it's funny:
In all fairness, the scene was likely meant to be funny, as Bella hurt her hand more than Jacob's face. The moment, though, is far too predictable and futile to be laughable for the intended reasons.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Bella explains why she won't marry
Movie: Eclipse
Why it's funny: Under virtually any other circumstance, this reason for not marrying in your teen years would be understandable. But Bella is willing to give up her life -- literally -- and never see her family or friends again in order to become a vampire. What's marriage in the face of all that?
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Jasper talks about newborn vampires
Movie: Eclipse
Why it's funny: Jasper hasn't said much in the two films leading up to Eclipse, and his big speaking part in the third film is accompanied by an exaggerated and embarrassing Southern accent. The accent also subtly comes and goes throughout the film, which only makes it worse.
Summit Entertainment
Scene: Alice's vision of Edward and Bella
Movie: New Moon
Why it's funny: Alice's special vampire talent is seeing the future, and she has a vision of Edward and Bella winding up together in the end. The image is as cheesy as they come, complete with slow motion running in a forest and gigantic grins.
