People gather to watch as unfinished Beijing hotel catches fire amid a holiday fireworks bonanza in Beijing, China, Monday, Feb. 9, 2009. The Mandarin Oriental hotel caught fire sometime before 9:00 p.m. local time on Monday night as the skies of the Chinese capital were filled with fireworks celebrating the lantern festival. The hotel, due to open this year, lies just north of Chinese Central Television's striking new headquarters building, also nearing the end of construction.
