The lashes get a thin layer of glue...

...and then are applied to the top and bottom lids. Dancers have to be careful not to close their eyes too tightly before the glue dries, or their eyes get stuck closed.

After the lashes are secured, they add a layer of liner to cover up the line of the lash.

After the lashes dry, a coat of mascara is added to help keep them on.
